Grady Marketing Draws Attention

Grady Memorial Hospital’s recent marketing campaign is drawing attention, not for its message, but for its cost. This year, Atlanta’s safety net hospital is spending about $1.5 million on billboards, radio ads, and a community tour by a branded ambulance, among other things. Though Grady’s marketing spending represents less than one-quarter of one-percent of the hospital’s $740 million budget, some think it’s too much.
