AUGUSTA: Protest Calls for Congress to Approve Medicaid Funds

When Georgia passed its budget for 2011, it built in $375 million in federal Medicaid funding.  However, with Congress stalling on passing this extension of federal money, Georgia’s state agencies may have to swallow another budget cut.

This cut could mean a $5.8 million cut at the Medical College of Georgia, which could result in reduced staff and lower quality of care.
