Coffee Hours and Lunchtime Talks
Every month, HealthSTAT brings together an interdisciplinary group of health professional students to learn about and discuss issues affecting health in Georgia. These “Coffee Hours” are the HealthSTAT equivalent of monthly meetings and a chance for us to learn not only from experts, by from each other. Past topics include “Innovative Solutions for Obesity Prevention,” “HIV and Advocacy,” “Refugee Health,” and “Trauma Care in Georgia.”
Coffee Hours are open to all, and upcoming dates can be found on the events page. If you would like to suggest a topic or receive more information, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
HealthSTAT also sponsors lunchtime talks, opportunities for students to go beyond what is usually covered in the classroom. Speakers have included experts in health policy and advocacy as well as students sharing their knowledge with their peers. To arrange a talk at your school, contact us email@example.com.
