The Emory Chapter of Physicians for Human Rights in conjunction with Emory Medical Alliance is hosting a lunch time conversation this Tuesday, July 23rd at Noon in Room 153A of the Emory School of Medicine building.
Snacks will be provided (hopefully lunch- still working out the funding)
The conversation will center around the state of asylum seekers along the U.S.-Mexico boarder including a brief explanation of the asylum process but focusing mainly on the current conditions created by government policy, cartels, and religious influence (including its effect on the LGBTQ+ community) .
We will be Skyping in an expert who lives on the Mexican side of The Border and will conclude the conversation with ways in which we as a community can aid asylum seekers in Atlanta.
If you have any questions feel free to email Harrison.
