Georgia’s Small Businesses to Benefit from New Health Law

Because insurers see them as a greater risk, many small businesses have trouble offering their employees affordable health insurance. Fewer small employers than large employers offer health coverage to their employees, and for those that do, it usually costs significantly more. In an effort to make health insurance more accessible to employees of businesses with fewer than twenty-five workers, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act establishes tax credits for small businesses that do decide to offer their employees affordable health coverage.
