Patients Can Receive Some Preventive Care at No Cost

One portion of health care reform now receiving widespread attention is the provision of certain preventive care at no cost to the patient.  Certain tests, such as recommended tests, childhood immunizations, and women’s health screenings will be available to patients with no co-pay or out of pocket costs.

Increased access to preventive health has long been a cornerstone of health reform.  Will this provision increase preventive visits?
