June is National Gun Violence Awareness month.


Join us on Monday June 17th for ASK DAY 2019

  • Video greeting from Georgia Congresswoman Lucy McBath, an advocate for gun violence prevention and research
  • Keynote by Grady Hospital’s PIVOT Police officers (Program to Interrupt Violence Through Outreach and Treatment)
  • Displays and representatives from organizations involved in gun violence prevention efforts, eager to talk to YOU!
  • A free Stop the Bleed training, to learn to stop life threatening bleeding and save lives

What: ASK is a collaboration between the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence and the American Academy of Pediatrics who promotes the ASK message to its 62,000 members across the country, inspiring 19 million households to ask if there are guns where their children play


The ASK initiative in Atlanta is a collaboration between Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, the Children's Injury Prevention Program, Grady Memorial Hospital, Morehouse School of Medicine and the Injury Prevention Research Center at Emory University, dedicated to addressing and preventing firearm injury for all ages in our Georgia communities.


The Aspiring Surgeons Program, Stand SAFE, Health Students Taking Action, and Emergency Medicine Interest Groups of Emory School of Medicine are honored to invite you to this event, one part of our 2019 initiative.
